What’s New for the 2014 BMW M6
For the 2014 model year, the BMW M6 now has the option for a six-speed manual transmission alongside the seven-speed automated manual. BMW has also made satellite radio and soft-close automatic doors standard.
2014 BMW M6 Exterior
The 2014 BMW M6 is available as either a coupe or convertible. Standard features include soft-close doors, 19-inch alloy wheels, automatic adaptive xenon headlights, heated power folding mirrors, automatic wipers, adaptive suspension dampers, and front and rear parking sensors.
The coupe model comes with either a sporty carbon-fiber roof or sunroof, while the convertible features a power-operated fabric top and rear window that can be raised separately as a way to block wind.

2014 BMW M6 Performance
The 2014 M6 is powered by a twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8, the most powerful engine ever outfitted in a BMW. That, paired with a high-torque seven-speed M-Double Clutch means you can expect an impressive 560 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque.
2014 BMW M6 Efficiency
According to the EPA, both the M6 coupe and convertible are estimated to get 14 mpg city and 20 mpg highway. Also included is a stop-start engine function to conserve fuel at stoplights.

The Merino leather that is an upgrade in other BMW models comes standard in the M6, and the seats adjust in every direction you can imagine, including lumbar and thigh support. There’s very little room in the backseat, but who buys an M6 for space in the back?
The instrumentation is clean and easy to navigate, and BMW’s iDrive electronics interface is straightforward.
2014 BMW M6 Safety
Standard safety features for the M6 include antilock disk brakes with advanced standby and drying features, hill-hold control, traction control, stability control, front-seat side airbags, knee airbags, rearview camera, and active front-seat head restraints.
Also standard is the BMW Assist emergency communications system and BMW Remote services. These systems provide automatic crash notification, on-demand road-side assistance, remote door unlocking, and stolen-vehicle recovery.
BMW also offers an optional Driver Assistance package, which includes a lane-departure warning system, a blind-spot monitor, and a camera with top-down and around-the-corner views.
